Tom Moran

I have been interested in astronomy from a young age. My first telescope was a Prinz 60mm refractor which was upgraded to the Charles Frank 6 inch reflector. Seeing the rings of Saturn for the first time from the back garden was magical. I am interested in Planetary imaging and also enjoy some deep sky work. However light pollution has forced me to invest in a hydrogen alpha filter which is like having a new pair of eyes in which to view the universe. I am a member of Newcastle Upon Tyne Astronomical Society.
