Thomas Morris

The Voyager pictures of Jupiter and Saturn started my interest in astronomy and I still enjoy observing the giant planets and their moons. I'm interested in variable stars and I have a special interest in SN1987A which was the topic of my PhD thesis at Oxford.

I'm also interested in spectroscopy and was very fortunate to receive a Ridley grant in 2016 for a Shelyak Instruments Alpy 600 spectroscope with which I hope to study cataclysmic variables, supernovae and comets.
