Went on a galaxy hunt last night (5th May 2018). Star hopping with a map using my 12" Dob. In all detected a grand total of 53 galaxies in a single session. Mostly in the central portion of Coma/Virgo, including Markarian's Chain (from M84/86 to the north-east. Also the Leo Triplet (plus another GX nearby) and an old favorite, the Cocoon Galaxy, NGC 4490 with its companion NGC 4485 in CVn which together are Arp 269. Very happy
