We don't often publish sketches as PotW, but these are exceptional.  Paul was fortunate to have the use of the 12" Zeiss refractor at the Griffith Park Observatory in Los Angeles for the evening of 30th August 2016.  The more southerly latitude meant that Saturn was much higher in the sky and that, combined with the good seeing meant he had some excellent views of the planet - probably the best he's ever seen it.  Attached are two coloured drawings he made during this time.
