Hi,
Spent the other night (06/06) collecting spectra with my Alpy600 (23um slit via guide unit) and C9.25 @ f/6. Have posted here a couple of profiles of my first target of the night,Vega (Alpha Lyrae). Used a single 1sec image opened in BASS project to first off carry out a standard calibration, then using the Pickles reference library (A0v) to add an instrument response calibration.
Thank you for looking!
Alun
Great spectrum Alun! That is a good demostration of the effects of the instrument and atmosphere.
Andy
Thank you Andy, just been trying to get my head round adding a Planck temp curve, but will stick to just calibrating and response calibration for a while longer! :)
Alun
Nice result. It illustrates well the extended response of the Alpy at the blue end of the spectrum.
David
Thank you David :)
The Alpy is a nice bit of kit, anyone contemplating getting one will not be disappointed (definately needs the guide unit though).
