Itagaki has identified a potential supernova in NGC 7331, the brightest galaxy of the so-called Deer Lick Group of galaxies. This galaxy is to the north of Pegasus, but will be available early morning.Martin Mobberley took this image using a remote telescope this morning. Martin estimates the supernova to be about 16th magnitude – so a bit faint, but perhaps it’s on the rise.More observations would obviously be welcomed.Callum PotterDirector, Deep Sky Section
