Thought about getting this section started. New Jupiter with brand new Camera. Shot few minutes before sun-up so no great B and G channel but there you are…Notice the dark orange colour of the GRS as well as the two-tone of Oval BA. SEB(N) looks thin anf greenish while the SEB(S) starts to show up again as a faint yellow-orange streak dowstream of the GRS.Andrea T.P.S.It doesn’t seem to show the picture, so here is the link:http://picasaweb.google.com/117372109527473822396/Jupiter2010Apparition#5487919983581404530

It’s nice to see Jupiter again isn’t it.You have a fine set of images there Andrea, and despite the planets low altitude. You’ve managed to capture, and process a wealth of detail.

He didn’t actually say it was his first attempt at planetary imaging!Andrea was also a well-known planetary imager before he took to the planetary nebulae.
