The NASA/JPL Perseverance spacecraft (left) and Centaur upper stage (right) last night as they headed for Mars. This image was taken 12 hours after launch when the two objects were around 200,000 km away and moving away at 4 km/s. The spacecraft is on course for an encounter with Mars and the booster will miss by a few hundred thousand km. Here is an animation.
