Apart from the splendid rille system around the crater Ramsden, there are a couple of other points of interest in this region. First, note the small concentric crater Marth to the north-east of Ramsden; second, notice how one of the rilles running to the south of Ramsden passes to the west of the crater Elger and onto highland terrain. Rilles in highland areas are relatively uncommon.
