Deep Sky Update & 2018 Newsletter – April 2020

I’ve just realised I did not send out an update in March. Of course I had intended to send the update out after the section meeting, but as that was cancelled and the whole crisis erupted it slipped my mind to get it out.

It was a pity to have to cancel the meeting, but still planning on holding the next section meeting in Sheffield, date to be confirmed.

There has been some excellent weather over the past couple of weeks, and I have been getting a steady stream of observations which is much appreciated.

I have been able to get the 2018 Newsletter completed, which is attached. Sorry it is a little large at around 8MB – I hope you receive it ok. It is also available to download from the Downloads area of the BAA website (you will need to be logged in to access it). Many thanks to all the contributors.

I am working on the 2019 Newsletter too, and it should be available around the end of the month or early May.

If you are at a loose end, it might be a good time to write up your current observing projects, or what is currently interesting you? Contributions for the following Newsletter (probably after the summer) would be very much appreciated.

But most importantly for all – please stay safe and stay well. And enjoy the deep night sky!

Clear skies,
Callum
