Transit of Mercury

A combination of cloud, rain, wind and trees meant seeing this transit from home was out of the question(!). So I used a (very) remote telescope for my observations.
Images from the SOHO spacecraft were downloaded from the web site. Taken at intervals of 1.5 hours they were assembled into the composite image above. The first image at 12:00UT was taken before the start of the transit but four more images showed the very small disc of Mercury traverse the Sun. Pity there weren't any sunspots to enhance the spectacle...
