Comets come in all shapes and sizes. Here are two comets at the opposite end of the brightness scale imaged from Chelmsford, UK, tonight. The colour image shows C/2018 Y1 (Iwamoto) at around mag 7.7. The green Swan band emission from the comet contrasts with the deep red Hydrogen alpha from Sharpless 2-232 in Auriga. The B&W image is of 209P/LINEAR currently at around mag 19.6.
