Quite possibly the worst image of the Helix Nebula ever put before the public gaze. But it’s the only one I have ever managed! Heavily cropped frame. Processed in Gimp only.

Imaged through quite a lot of haze this evening. Indeed, PHD lost the guide star and sent the scope off to Never Never Land (second star to the right, straight on 'til morning), as it were. So most of the frames were junked.
Well, I tried...

You are too hard on yourself Ray. I have always found the Helix to be a tricky beast. Well done!
