Does anyone know where I can source one glass plate from any sky survey or the like, the big 12″ square ones? Someone I know just wants one and doesn’t care what part of the sky is depicted on it.

    Any help, gratefully recieived.

    James,

I can help you out there.  During my time at Hertfordshire University they skipped the whole southern sky survey plates as taking up too much room and it was all digitized anyway.  I managed to retrieve some from the skip  and could let you have one or two.

    Eric,

That would be great, thank you. I’ll drop you an email and I’ll work out how to get hold of one.
