Lunar South Pole

ASI290MM camera
IR 742nm filter
It always surprises me what modern cameras and processing software can retrieve from the gloop of Sheffield seeing. This AVI was wobbling like a jelly, but the image gives a fair account of the complex terrain south of Moretus. I wonder what the great past BAA observers of the lunar south polar regions - Ewen Whitaker, Ben Burrell and Harold Hill - would have made of the techniques available to us today.
