Fabulous :) Comet 46p for 27 November 11:43 UT. Finally visible to my unaided eyes, apart from glasses. Visual estimate Mag 5.6 DC = 4 Coma diameter 30 arc sec. The image shows the ion tail extending off the edge of the frame, over 30 arc minutes. The galaxy to the bottom left is pgc9273. Image 3 x 120 sec ISO 6400. Canon 60da, 8" f/4 newt astrograph. |
