23)Here is image of Comet Lovejoy from last night, taken with 24mm lens at F2, using Astro 40D at ISO 400. The image is 5 x 12 minute exposures, and about as deep as my set-up can go. If the tail reaches the left edge of the FOV it would be just over 47 degrees long, but I am not sure if it goes that far. The comet is almost clear of the Large Magellanic Cloud with tail passing over Canopus, Lester Barnes. |
