The 88 Constellations

The genitive version is used when naming an object that belongs to the constellation.
The abbreviations consisting of three letters were agreed by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
For example; Syrius is also called Alpha Canis Majoris or Alpha CMa.
Serpens is now separated into two areas; Serpens Cauda, and Serpens Caput.
