Andrew Wilson’s instruments

Paddock Wood, Kent

My main telescope is an 8-inch f/10 Schmidt–Cassegrain. It is equatorially mounted on a permanent pier, but the telescope itself is outside only when I am observing. I use the telescope with a Starlight Xpress CCD camera, and I control both the telescope and CCD from the comfort of my living room. My main observing interests are monitoring active galactic nuclei and imaging the faint Abell planetary nebulae.
