SN2004fd – discovery

SN2004fd in NGC 1060, discovered 2004 October 21.

Mag. 15.7. It is not present on images from 2004 August 25,

September 8 and October 5 (limiting mag. 19.5) nor on a Quick-V

survey plate from 1982 (limiting mag. 19.0). This composite image

was produced because the galaxy and the supernova are so bright

that a single image is either two dots or is burned out.
