SN2003bv in MCG +07-15-15, discovered 2003 March 12.

 

IAU Circular 8093 : T. Boles, Coddenham, England, reports the discovery of an apparent supernova on unfiltered CCD images taken on Mar. 11.995 (mag. 17.7) and 13.918 UT (mag. 16.8) with a 0.35-m reflector in the course of the UK Nova/Supernova Patrol. The new object is located at RA 7h 22m 11.92s, Dec +40º 28' 01".5 (equinox 2000.0), which is approximately 3".4 east and 5".3 south of the center of MCG +07-15-15. SN2003bv is not present on Boles’ images from Feb. 1 (limiting mag. 19.0) and 18 (limiting mag. 19.5), and it is not present on Palomar Sky Survey red (1991) and blue plates (1997)...
