Comet 46/P Wirtanen over Australia tonight with a hint of a tail visible. Captured in mono broadband and RGB, stacked as LRB. Egg-shaped nucleus due to movement over ~1 hour period. Wee spiral galaxy visible on the right. Currently in Fornax. Celestron 9.25" Edge HD @ F10 / 2350mm / QHY9 CCD + Canon 6DmkII for colour. Should look great in a month during the next new moon near Pleiades, and then closest approach with moon almost 50% |
