2016 R2 PANSTARRS today from New Mexico with the t20 scope. This small comet is making it's way up through Orion's belt at the minute and hence there is a lot of nebulosity in the image. The Skylive is giving it as mag +13.1 at a distance of 2.8AU with perihelion date of May 9 2018. It is marked by the white lines. |
