I had to wait for the New Mexico skies to clear so that I could capture this fading comet in the same field of view as M45. The total imaging time was 42 minutes through LRGB filters, using iTelescope T14 in Mayhill, New Mexico. Equipment: Takahashi 106mm FSQ Fluorite OTA @ f/5.0, SBIG STL-11000M CCD, Paramount GT-1100S mount. The start of the first exposure was at 10:07:18 UT on 2017 August 22. |
