Got back this afternoon from La Palma so just quickly sending you the ‘rough’ sketch I made of C/2013 X1 in the same field of view as the Helix using a 27mm Panoptic giving x73 and about a 55’ FOV. I’d just got set up that night with an 18” F4.2 Sky Watcher Dobsonian. The skies were good but about the worst of the week with ‘only’ 21.5 SQM! The next night was my only cloudy night and then it just got better. I kept a check on the Helix and the comet every morning but they were moving further apart each night.
