Discovery of Comet P/2012 K3 (GIBBS) is announced in Cbet nr. 3122, issued on 23 May 2012.   Discovery was made by  A. R. Gibbs on CCD images taken with the Mount Lemmon 1.5-m reflector telescope  on May 21.3.


This object was still announced on the NEOCP when i  made a follow up image on 23.05 May 2012 with a remote telescope 0.43-m f/6.8 astrograph from Nerpio, Spain (MPC I89 - iTelescope.net). 7  unfiltered images of 180 sec exposuretime are stacked. this images show a diffuse object with a coma diameter of about 8 arc.sec.
