here is an image I took last night (00:50 UT, March 5) via the Las Cumbres Observatory facility at CTIO. 5-minute exposure (clear filter) with 0.4-meter telescope. 2 1/2 hours later (when the comet was in the same star field), I observed it visually. It appeared diffuse and “soft:” March 5.14 UT, m1 = 13.7, 0.8’ coma, DC = 2 (41 cm reflector, 229x). |
