This is an image using Maxim Usatov's Alnitak observatory CDK17 in Spain. The plate scale is 0.26 arcsec/pix and it shows a teardrop shaped coma with a dark lane in PA 10 deg. Compare with my image taken a little earlier at lower resolution from Chelmsford. This comet is known for pre-perihelion outbursts and it is worth keeping it under regular observation as it approaches the Sun. |
